The New York Giants are coming off a rather bloated 2021-22 season. For the coming season, they are ready to tumble all the rocks. The franchise can make a breakthrough. It also didn’t stop their quarterbacks from taking outside help; which involves one of the Chiefs’ heroes, Patrick Mahomes.
The New York Giants are looking for meaningful improvements this year. If we watch the offseason, general manager Joe Douglas has been active in approving rising athletes for rational contracts. It’s the best time of year for Giants fans, and the franchise could shake things up in the NFC East.

Patrick Mahomes is a man of principle
The Giants are looking for all the help they can get. They also got help from an unusual entity, chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. In a chat with ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, Giants backup QB Davis Webb reveals the situation. Webb approaches Mahomes for help understanding Mike Kafka and his tactics on the offensive end this offseason.
DIVE DEEPER
Patrick and Davis have known each other since they were teammates at Texas Tech in college days and have remained closest friends ever since. Additionally, Webb acknowledges that he, along with Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor, used to FaceTime Mahomes to go over notions of various Kansas City plays and details about Mike Kafka; another friend of the Chiefs QB.
Davis Webb told the Breaking Big Blue podcast, mentioning, “I faced Pat several times, asking his opinion with Daniel sitting next to me. And Tyrod [there]. I’m just trying to get a glimpse of some pieces.

How is the New York Giants offense shaping up?
In 2021, the New York Giants offense has been atrocious. They held the second-to-last in the NFL. Due to their dismal performance, the franchise fired the entire coaching staff and brought in new mentors. The Giants’ offense in 2022 could be a delightful surprise. The changes could be very beneficial for the franchise, and they could have the best comeback stories this year.

This year’s seasoned skills could be very useful for this year’s roster. The Giants offensive line appears to have improved significantly due to some new acquisitions in this year’s draft. If both edges of the Giants are engaged and strong, they could be a potent weapon in the coming season. Plus, Patrick’s assist at quarterbacks will no doubt pay off this season from origin to destination, and likely even head towards a division title as well.
