CATHERINE Tyldesley has started the year well enjoying a relaxing stay at the chalet with her family.
The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, has spent the past few days embracing the beauty of Wales.
The former Coronation Street star, 38, shared photos from her winter getaway and gave fans a taste of her luxury accommodation.
Looking radiant, Catherine posed alongside her husband Tom Pitfield and six-year-old son Alfie.
Dressed in a gray sweater with a bow, the TV star proudly showed off her growing baby bump.
In another photo, the Viewpoint star took in the stunning view while wearing a winter beanie and coat while sipping her mug.
Catherine shared footage of her family’s adventures – which included walks on the beach and walks through the hills.
The TV favorite called the gorgeous cottage “gorgeous” and showed off the gorgeous interiors which featured a stone wall in the kitchen and a huge patio with a breathtaking view.
Along with the vacation snaps, Catherine wrote: “Cottage Break ❤️.
“What a lovely break we had! Wales, your beauty never fails to hold my heart!
“Everything did not go as planned – we had a wonderful ‘Moel Yr Wyn’ cottage in Rhiw from @sykescottage – the cottage sleeps 12 and is absolutely GORGEOUS !!
“But thanks to that goddamn malarkey from Omicron (🙄) our buddies couldn’t be with us! Best plans, eh ?! So the three of us had the sheer joy of staying here. We loved every second!”
She continued: “We use @sykescottage every year and honestly and truly – we have never been disappointed.
“This chalet is without a doubt one of our favorites! We have already booked to go back! Well deserved time to rest and reflect, walks on the beach, great movies and of course – darn good food! !
“So many great beaches nearby – I always feel so at peace near the sea! I feel very grateful. Here is a fabulous 2022!”
For the past few months, Catherine has kept her baby bump incognito, leaving fans surprised when she broke the good news this weekend.
It wasn’t until more recently that the former Corrie star showed off her full belly in a series of cute snaps.
Talk to Hello! magazine, Catherine said: “We feel so lucky. When we found out, I burst into tears…
“Tom was in pieces when we found out we were having a baby girl. He suddenly got all mushy. I’m sure she will have wrapped it around her pinky finger.”
The star then admitted that she was “convinced” that her body was “mimicking a pregnancy” when she began to experience symptoms as she struggled with a hormonal balance that has caused similar effects in the past.
She told the publication: “I did so many tests that I was convinced that I was not actually pregnant, but in fact my body was just mimicking a pregnancy. So this time, even when my stomach was a little bit. swollen, I just thought, ‘Oh more hormonal imbalances.’ “
Catherine even thought she might actually be in the onset of menopause as she struggled with night sweats
The former Coronation Street actress explained, “I had terrible sleeplessness, which is always with me. I was so hot at night and couldn’t control my temperature. I started to panic at the thought of it. that I might have been in perimenopause. I know I would have been a bit young, but it happens. “
She also struggles with hyperemesis gravidarum, an extreme form of pregnancy disease, which is luckily under control with the help of medication.
Catherine recently revealed that her return to Corrie was marred due to filming engagements with the ITV drama Viewpoint.
Her character Eva was supposed to return to support her sister Leanne during her son Oliver’s illness.
She said at the time: “It was so unfortunate that I had already signed up to do Viewpoint and the dates, we just couldn’t make it work.
“As a Corrie fan, I felt like I was letting people down! Because I’m really not one of those actresses who’ll say ‘no I’m done with Corrie, I’m not going back. ‘.
“I felt like they had presented this story to me and I was like ‘oh my god, yeah sure she would be there, she’s her sister’, and I was really disgusted that we didn’t. can’t make it work. “
