The Department of Housing has announced the start of construction of 1,382 apartments on Island 12 in Salman City. Basim Al Hamer, Ministry of Housing, said the BD122 679 387 project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2023. The Minister of Housing said the Salman City project contributes to the government’s commitment to provide 25,000 homes.
Ministry Undersecretary Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Deputy Undersecretary for Housing Policies and Services Dr Khaled Al-Haidan, Deputy Undersecretary for Housing Projects Reda Al-Adraj, officials and officials development companies were present.
Al Hamar said the ministry relies on the sustainable energy principles of using renewable and recyclable materials, reducing energy consumption and waste when building new structures.
The project, the minister said, would help meet the growing demand for owned apartments in the northern governorate. Salman City follows the construction model of the sixth generation of residential buildings, with most units in the city facing green spaces such as parks, gardens, pedestrian and cycle paths on a 40 kilometer waterfront.
Located off the coast of the northern governorate, the town of Salman spans ten islands, which span a total of 740 hectares of land spread across six planned districts.
